Discovering the Beaujolais

Nature, culture, and cuisine

There's no time to be bored at our hotel, thanks to the multitude of options in the surrounding area. In Villefranche sur Saône, after strolling through the town, stop in at the Musée Paul-Dini, which highlights painters from the Rhône-Alpes region and contemporary art. And take advantage of your stay in the Beaujolais to discover the region's vineyards.. You can take the Route des Vins, or wine route, which runs along 140 km, taking you through 36 villages, or explore the different hiking trails through the local vineyards. Golfers can head to the Golf Club du Beaujolais, in Lucenay. Its location near the motorway means you can easily plan to visit Lyon or Mâcon and southern Burgundy on the same day.

CULTURAL VISITS, WINE CELLAR..

Between Burgundy and the Pays des Pierres Dorées

Located between the Southern Burgundy and the Lyon urban district, Beaujolais is a magnificent playground which offers magnificent landscapes between various typical villages and vineyards.

VILLEFRANCHE SUR SAÔNE

Capital of the Beaujolais

Villefranche is home to a rich cultural heritage. The "hidden treasure" walk through the old city will show you Renaissance homes and courtyards, most of them registered.

FROM BURGUNDY TO THE PIERRES DOREES

The Beaujolais wine route

The route des vins du Beaujolais, or Beaujolais wine route, winds along 140 km through hilly countryside, inviting you to discover exceptional vineyards and authentic villages, like Saint-Amour, Beaujeu and Oingt.
